Barcelona Pictures

As promised, here are several pictures from Barcelona. Sorry I'm so slow. Enjoy!

This fountain came alive at dusk, the fountain was choreographed to dance with music.

Several Gaudi buildings, UNESCO World Heritage sites.

The Cathedral. It was under construction.

The guy blowing bubbles. That was so fun.

La Sagrada Familia, by Gaudi. Fergal said it looked like it was "melting;" it grew on me more and more during the week. I think it's beautiful. The most famous building in Barcelona, it's still under construction. (Gaudi has been dead for awhile, but the building was unfinished.) They continue to work on it, and it's funded completely by visitor entrance fees. According to my research, it's scheduled to be done in 2026, though it's debatable whether it will be or not.

I actually really liked the almost cubism-like statues. Fergal, Susan, and I visited it one night late in the week and think we were able to identify most of the Biblical stories told here in the statues.

We saw the ocean. It was beautiful.

We saw this on the bus tour. They created this with old wood from buildings they tore down in order to build up the Olympic Village (when the Olympics were held here in 1992).

We went on a bus tour. It was a lot of fun. It's a great way to see a lot of the city in not a lot of time. We plan to do one in London as well!

Several years ago I wanted to go to every Hard Rock Cafe in the world, take my picture in front of it, and buy a Tshirt. I don't really have that goal anymore, and I really didn't want to buy a Tshirt for 25 euros. But I took my picture anyway.

I really liked all these red shoes. So I took a picture...

Did you buy some red Ferragamos? You should have! Those are some very awesome shoes.

No, I didn't. I figured they were a bit out of my price range. So I just admired from a distance...
