42

Today this not the answer to life, the Universe, and everything.

Rather, today I moved in with a new roommate, Susie. She is roommate #42.

In honor of the hottest day of the summer so far in Baltimore (it reached over 100*F, and so humid, with a heat index hovering near 110*F, at least), I moved my stuff over to my new place. In addition to that, I helped my (now former) roommate Amanda move all her stuff to DC. I started packing last night, packed well into the night, got about 4 hours of sleep, was up and going by 7am and didn't stop until about 9:00pm. Three boys from the ward showed up to help for a bit (including one offering his truck; thank you Jacob!)

My new apartment doesn't have central air. But it does have window AC units. It is very sunny. My room is cute with wood floors and two huge windows. I knew I wanted to move there when I had a dream the night after I checked it out....I was sitting on my bed with my eyes close, basking in the sunlight that was coming in.

I've missed the sun this year.

I will post pictures after I've settled in.

Tomorrow I have to pack up my food, the few kitchen things I have out, and the rest of what's in my closet. (Some clothes and two boxes.)

All I want is a shower. And my bed to be set up. And to never move again.

But I guess I'll prepare the Sunday School lesson I'm teaching tomorrow instead.

This week I plan to unpack and really dejunk. I want to get rid of a lot of things I don't really need while I still hate all of my stuff.

I definitely want to see picture of this fabulous room!!

When I moved to Utah, Julia helped me unpack and the first thing she did was make my bed. She said by the time I got around to making it I would be too tired to do so. I really appreciated her help that day. She was right!

We are going to move to a new flat, or house at the end of the summer, so I'm trying to get rid of our junk now! We've accumulated too much!

I totally agree with you about missing the sunlight! I live in the basement and although I have a window, it looks out under the deck. Every day feels like it's overcast until I go upstairs!
