Saturday morning I left Albany and headed a bit south to Baltimore, via Philadelphia. I spent more time there than originally expected. My flight was delayed about 30 minutes, and turned out it was oversold, so I volunteered to give up my seat, go on a later flight, and get a free round trip travel voucher. (NOT just a $200-off voucher...an actual round trip voucher. I made sure to ask.)
During my layover, I found a sports bar and watched the Texas/Oklahoma game; unfortunately, it was just about halftime, so I didn't get to see too much of the game. I went back for some of the third quarter, but then had to go to my gate for boarding so I didn't get to see the last few touchdowns. (But Texas won!! Hurray! And now they're ranked #1! Hurray!)
The new flight that I was on was also delayed (about 30 minutes), but I wasn't in any hurry to get to Baltimore. I arrived, got my bags (they were already sitting out since they came on the earlier flight), and took a cab to my hotel. (I considered attempting the light rail as it is a LOT cheaper, and though I don't know *that* much about Baltimore, I know enough to not wander around downtown alone after dark, hauling a lot of luggage behind me.) I'm staying at a nice place in downtown. The room is a "suite" with a couch, big bed, and kitchen. Here are some pictures.
This is the entryway from the couch. The door on the right is to the kitchen.

Ah, Baltimore... At least you're downtown, in the nicest part of the city. Check out Fell's Point - you can get there via Water Taxi - and Little Italy - Vaccaro's has the best italian desserts outside of Italy.
